         SAEINDIA is India's leading resource for mobility technology. As an individual member driven society of mobility practitioners the ownership of SAEINDIA wrests with its members who are Individuals from the mobility community, which includes Engineers Executives from Industry, Government Officials, Academics and Students .It is an affiliate society of SAE International registered in India as an Indian nonprofit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of mobility industry in India.

 

         The Kongu chapter of SAE INDIA was founded in the year 2010 and since then the enrollment of the students has seen an increasing trend and now the membership of students amounts to close to 250. Till now we have organized about 15 guest lectures and around 30 workshops and helped numerous students from various colleges to be abreast with the technology

 

          IGNITRO has been the brain child of the Kongu Chapter of SAE INDIA. Every year students from various colleges throng to this event. It takes an immense pride in informing that Kongu Engineering College was awarded the BEST TEAM BUILDING AWARD from Dr.Balasubramanian, Chairman, SAEINDIA Southern Section in the presence of Dr.Aravind Bharadwaj, President, SAEINDIA.

 

          The academic year 2015-2016 is one of the golden period of Kongu chapter of SAE. Our team Terrain Threaders was selected for the main event of Baja 2016 to be held at Pithampur in NATRIP facility. It was the first time in the history of Kongu that the college sponsored the project with a colossal amount of Rs.200000/- for the fabrication. With the student’s tireless work for about 3 months led to development of Dheera from a cell to a gigantic child.
